iLEARNING+, the online training platform from PRINTING United Alliance, just released its new and updated learning modules for Spring 2025, and the benefits for wide-format producers are strong. The new training modules, created and updated to meet the needs of today’s PSPs, offer high-quality online training produced by industry experts.
1: The first new release from iLEARNING+ is certified color management training on color management for dye-sublimation. Taught by Jim Raffel, CEO of ColorCasters, it is tailored specifically for professionals using dye-sublimation in production and covers all color-related aspects of the process: transfer papers, inks, fabrics, and heat presses. It further offers a deep dive into optimizing color across substrates.
2: Also taught by Jim Raffel and his ColorCasters partner Shelby Sapusek, is a new training module on color management for A.I. generated art. While the color management strategies used by printers focus on accurate, achievable colors, A.I. image generation is more of a “wild west” situation. This training helps PSPs bridge that gap.
3: Covering the basics of screen making, an absolutely critical aspect of achieving quality results in screen printing, “Screen Making Basics,” taught by industry veteran Dave Dennings, product manager at KIWO, Inc., is an essential module for any shop looking to enter into, or improve within, screen printing.
4: Also released from PRINTING United Alliance is a free white paper that provides an in-depth analysis of the G7+ color calibration standard. The white paper is written for printers, press operators, and color professionals and explains how G7+ enhances the original G7 method. Among the benefits of these enhancements s is a higher level of relevance for color control in wide-format production.
But there is more …
It is also important to note that iLEARNING+ training modules are updated when warranted by changes in technologies or methods. In keeping with this commitment, the iLEARNING+ team has updated its Color Management Fundamentals course and its Customer Service Professional Certification. The presence of regular updates is yet another reason iLEARNING+ is a strong choice for graphics producers seeking quality, affordable training.
