The transaction will allow Kirkwood to expand its branded environment capabilities while strengthening its ability to help clients bring their brands to life across physical spaces.

This acquisition – Kirkwood’s ninth in the last 15 years – represents another step in its evolution as a strategic marketing execution partner. It includes all of Cadwell’s team members, each of whom brings considerable expertise and relationships in the architectural, general contractor, commercial building and office signage industries.

“The greatest value in this acquisition is the people joining Kirkwood from Cadwell, their years of experience, deep understanding of clients, and ability to develop solutions that work,” said Glen Fairbanks, Kirkwood Executive Vice President of Branded Environments. “We look forward to working hand-in-hand with them and combining their expertise with Kirkwood’s to create consultative, value-added solutions that address client needs and solve real challenges.”

“This is a perfect complement to our existing products and services in one of our most exciting, fastest-growing industry pillars,” said Kirkwood CEO Bob Coppinger. “We’re already a trusted partner within branded environment engagements. Cadwell’s addition now positions us as a key partner for projects of all sizes, from smaller signage to ADA compliance to large-scale new construction and renovation initiatives.”

The opportunity to join forces with Kirkwood is equally appealing to the Cadwell team. Cadwell will continue to operate under its existing name and remain at its Holliston offices.

“This transaction combines two great teams and adds many benefits for clients of both companies,” said Cadwell Co-President Stephen Moylan. “Our customers now have a wider array of product offerings available – and more importantly, a deeper team of creative problem solvers in their corners.”

“We have essentially created a one-stop shop, and that’s a unique opportunity for our clients and employees,” added Cadwell Co-President Sean Keaveny. “This positions us as the dominant Environmental Graphic Design (EGD) firm in the region, which is an exciting next step for us all.”

Kirkwood, which provides premium print, direct mail, branded environments, promotional products, fulfillment and technology solutions, is pleased with the depth-of-team it has added. Topping out now at 325 total employees across six locations, its associates are eager to welcome their new colleagues and provide them a host of new growth and development opportunities.
