Digital technology is taking hold in the apparel market after a nearly 20-year climb. In this session, “Digital Technologies for the Apparel Decorator,” Johnny Shell, VP, Print Technology & Training, SGIA will cover the major technology platforms used for apparel decoration, including direct-to-garment inkjet, dye sublimation, heat applied, and print-n-cut. Attendees will learn the capabilities and limitations of each technology and also the associated costs.
“Apparel decorators have a multitude of digital printing choices to consider,” says Shell. “Attendees will leave knowing all of the considerations of each technology, the capabilities and limitations, workflow, and costs so they can be well informed when making a purchasing decision.”
