Fisher Textiles Wins Six SGIA 2019 Product of the Year Awards
Fisher Textiles, (PRINTING United Booth 8033) is proud to announce that six of their fabrics received SGIA’s 2019 Product of the Year Awards in the Textile-Media categories for Apparel, Banner, Flag, Framing Systems (Frontlit), Framing Systems (Backlit) and Home Furnishings. Fisher’s winning fabrics include ET4000 Board Short, GF4020 Nirvana Purity®, DD7701 Primary Flag, UV2610 Tango® and GF9766 Poly Cube.
ET4000 Board Short, winner in the Textile-Media-Apparel category, is a versatile fabric media for board shorts, dresses and Hawaiian shirts that is lightweight and breathable. It is water repellent, made from 91% recycled polyester and 9% spandex. Closed-loop environmental benefits of recycled versus virgin polyester include decreased waste in landfills, reduced energy consumption and petroleum conservation.
GF4020 Nirvana Purity®, winner in the Textile-Media-Banner and Textile-Media-Framing Systems (Frontlit) categories, is a breakthrough soft signage fabric with a pigment coated white-back for complete opacity. This premium product gives a two-in-one solution for dye sub and UV printable fabric with a built-in liner and a finished back, providing cost savings in material and labor. Nirvana Purity® is ideal for hanging banners, roll up banner stands and single or double-sided SEG.
DD7701 Primary Flag, winner in the Textile-Media-Flag category, is a bright white 100% poly fabric treated for direct print with a multi-chemical process dialed-in for consistent application to facilitate outstanding print quality and control of ink migration. Direct printing is the preferred method for outdoor longevity because it drives the ink further into the fiber, offering improved colorfastness, promoting longer use and better color vibrancy. Primary Flag has a nice drape, is extremely durable and made to withstand outdoors.
UV2610 Tango®, winner in the Textile-Media-Framing Systems (Backlit) category, is the newest UV-curable and latex compatible fabric for backlit framing systems with a bright white point and quick dry time. It is an excellent backlit because of the fabric’s ability to evenly disperse light and promote printed vibrancy of color and detail when illuminated. It has a tight base structure for the perfect amount of opacity in framing systems and equal stretch (1.25%) to enable a smooth, tight fit.
GF9766 Poly Cube, winner in the Textile-Media-Home Furnishings category, originally developed for cubicle walls, has become a very popular decorative throw pillow fabric because of its unique 3D weave, slight sheen and extreme durability. With the rise in customization and the vibrancy of print detail utilizing dye sub, quick turnaround time and low minimums required, throw pillows have become a hot product for the industry and a quick way to personalize any living space.
