Spectrophotometer Awarded Product of the Year
Spectro LFP qb spectrophotometer from Barbieri Electronic was honored with a Product of the Year award from SGIA in 2018.
The Spectro LFP qb is the newest spectrophotometer for color measurement from Barbieri Electronic (Booth 3297). It is the most versatile automatic spectrophotometer in the market, and delivers the highest measurement quality to create profiles for many different reflective and transmissive medias and materials (especially textiles, backlit material and glass).
Thanks to the new qb technology, it is the only product in the market that allows automatic readings in M1 measurement conditions in reflection and transmission modes. This by measuring much faster than existing products in the market.
The Spectro LFP qb gives customers more possibilities to measure colors. It’s not only possible to measure up to 20 mm in automatic measurement mode, but with the removable measurement head the device easily turns itself into a spot measurement device, with its own battery operated and Wi-Fi touchscreen interface. The customer has two devices in one, and can do spot measurements on any kind of reflective surface.
The illumination and optics (qb technology) in the Spectro LFP qb allows customers also
to measure fluorescent inks, which is unique in the market, and gives a broader range
of applications.
One of the most critical parts in the world of color measurement is the handling and recognition of the measurement media. The Spectro LFP qb has an innovative system called the sensing unit, which automatically recognizes the media through a recorded image, helping customers make a quick and accurate auto positioning process to avoid handling mistakes. New features such as recognizing more than just the target will follow in future updates.
The installation of the product is as easy — as it is with all the Barbieri instruments. It is a plug and play device, delivered with its own gateway software, but also directly connectable and compatible with all the major RIP and profiling software solutions in the market today. It is also backwards compatible, with the possibility of using the Spectro LFP S3 driver in all the different software packages, for those have not yet implemented the Spectro LFP qb. Simply using the Ethernet, USB or Wi-Fi port, the device is as flexible in connections as possible.
