New Wide-Format Printing, Cutting Solutions Debut at Expo

PRINTING United Expo is a wide-format wonderland. From roll-to-roll poster printers to giant flatbeds, wide-format printers abound this week in Las Vegas, grabbing the attention of every passing in-plant manager with their colorful output.

Here are some of the models In-plant Impressions saw on the Expo floor that can open new business opportunities for in-plants.

Roland TrueVis AG-640

Roland DGA is showing several new printers, including the 64" TrueVis AG-640, billed as the world’s first latex printer/cutter. It offers high output quality, expanded colors, dense white ink, and integrated contour cutting, while still boasting low running costs. It uses newly developed TA-2 water-based latex inks and the latest piezo printheads to deliver high-precision dot control and consistent, high-definition output across a wide range of media.

Canon imagePROGRAF TM-610M

Canon USA has several wide-format printers in its booth. For digitizing and copying architectural and design drawings and producing posters, the 36" imagePROGRAF TM-610M is one of several new additions to the TM series lineup. It boasts a flat-top design to make it easy to load large documents from above. The scanner offers stable, high-precision reading, and uses light sources on both sides of the sensor to reduce shadows and uneven brightness caused by creases or wrinkles. It can scan 5 inches per second in color, 10 inches per second in monochrome, with print speeds up to 3.2 D-size prints per minute.

Also at the booth is the DigiTech Texas ST2/X1 4'x8' UV LED flatbed printer with speeds up to 2,024 sq. ft./hr. It features six-channel printing, supports media up to 6" thick, and includes a hands-free automatic unloader operating in under 10 seconds. The Colorado XL series is also at Canon's booth, printing up to 10-ft wide on flexible and rigid media.

Canon DigiTech Texas ST2/X1

HP Latex 630W Print & Cut

HP is showing the HP Latex 630W Print & Cut, which combines white-ink printing with integrated print-and-cut capabilities. Designed for versatile signage and graphics production, it helps streamline workflows while expanding application opportunities and supporting efficient, connected large-format production. Also on display is the EFI VUTEk Q3h XP, a hybrid LED UV inkjet printer combining productivity, automation, and premium image quality.

Mimaki UJ330H-160

Mimaki is featuring a compact 64" hybrid UV-LED printer, the UJ330H-160. Its three-way belt conveyor handles roll and rigid media up to 2" thick and sheets up to 5x10', while low-temperature curing helps prevent warping on challenging substrates. Also on display is the Mimaki UJV200-160, a 64" roll-to-roll LED-UV printer with speeds up to 269 sq. ft./hr. It features automated RGB sensor calibration, low-odor inks, multilayer printing, and white and clear inks.

The Epson SureColor V4000 is a compact UV flatbed printer sporting a 10-color ink set with white and varnish. Supporting media up to 7.8" thick and ADA-compliant braille printing, it delivers vibrant, detailed output for signage, promotional products, and other applications. Also at the Epson booth is the SureColor S8170, a 64" solvent printer with a six-color UltraChrome GS3 ink set and user-replaceable printheads.

Epson SureColor V4000

EFI is highlighting the VUTEk M3h X, a versatile hybrid LED printer designed to handle both rigid and roll media. Combining true flatbed and roll-fed capabilities, it delivers premium image quality and production flexibility.

Agfa is showing the Jeti Bronco H3300 HS, a 3.3-meter hybrid UV inkjet printer delivering speeds up to 4,884 sq. ft./hr. Its integrated roll-to-roll system, continuous board feeding, multiple-board printing, and single- or dual-roll capabilities provide flexible, productive output across rigid and roll media. The Anapurna Ciervo H3200 wide-format hybrid printer is being shown with dual-roll printing. Another highlight is the Pinnacle Award-winning Onset Panthera LED flatbed with smart automation.

For in-plants getting into ADA signage printing, Fluid Color is showing the RF84 Braille Monster, a UV flatbed printer for braille, ADA signage, and dimensional printing. Powered by Ricoh Gen6 printheads and ImagePrint RIP with Pedestal AI, it automates raised textures and tactile graphics while supporting print heights up to 19.6".
