EFI canceled its planned exhibit at the drupa 2021 tradeshow taking place in Dusseldorf, Germany, next April.
Scott Schinlever has re-joined EFI in a new role as chief operating officer for EFI’s global inkjet business. He has been charged with further expanding EFI’s industrial inkjet portfolio.
Digital printing industry trends, says EFI CEO Jeff Jacobson, will continue to drive migration – AI integration, machine learning, workflow, multifaceted and end-to-end solutions, etc. Implementation of new technologies into new and different markets will continue to grow and shape EFI customers’ business initiatives.
EFI Connect 2020 served as both the first Connect event where digital printing industry veteran Jeff Jacobson would take center stage since becoming EFI CEO, as well as the first conference where printers could learn more since EFI was acquired by private equity firm Siris Capital Group for approximately $1.7 billion.
EFI named veteran print technology executive Douglas Edwards as its Chief Technology Officer. Immediately prior to this appointment, Edwards was CEO of Xaar plc, and Chairman of Xaar 3D Ltd – the company’s 3D printing joint venture with Stratasys Ltd.
Next year’s iteration of the annual EFI Connect users conference will be among the most informative and valuable in the event’s 20-year history, thanks in part to keynote sessions that deliver new insights and expertise.
