"The Magnet Group is a perennial ASI Top 40 supplier in the promotional products industry with a long track record of excellent service, great prices, and a diverse product line to satisfy any budget," Dan Jellinek, the company's chief revenue officer, says. It offers everything from magnets and Italian journals to towels, tech, drinkware, bags, awards, and more.
Promo Impressions: What made you decide to exhibit at this year’s Expo?
DJ: The Magnet Group has been a big supporter of this show for years. For us, it truly is a unique and amazing show. Under one roof, we have the opportunity to grow sales and learn how to pick up efficiencies on the production side. That’s a home run.
Promo Impressions: What do you plan to showcase in your booth?
DJ: Previously our main focus was on our Magnet LLC line, car magnets, refrigerator magnets and direct mail, but this year, as more and more commercial printers embrace promo, we will showcase items from our broad array of products — from beautiful, made in Italy Castelli journals to luxurious towels with the best imprints in the business — made with USA cotton. Of course, we will still showcase our made in the USA magnets and direct mail with pride.
Promo Impressions: Do you plan to explore technology, equipment, processes, or exhibitors for your internal print/decoration needs?
DJ: Yes, always, but especially now, the technology is moving at a rapid pace, and seeing and learning about new capabilities in print decorations and efficiencies is a must to stay ahead of the curve and deliver the best finished products to our customers.
Promo Impressions: What kinds of conversations are you hoping to have with attendees and exhibitors?
DJ: For the printer that hasn’t sold promo yet, we’d like to talk about a great way to augment sales through a new revenue stream with zero inventory commitment — promo. For our valued customers, first and foremost, thank you. Now, let’s grow further. We want to discuss their upcoming projects and provide solutions on the spot. With new prospects, we’d love to have the opportunity to educate them on the TMG difference and what we can offer them.
Promo Impressions: How does attending the Expo support your company’s broader goals over the next year?
DJ: Expo is a great place to see some valued customers that we have been working with for years. The print world is not new to us, but, extending the hand to help on the promo side has got us so excited.
What’s one trend or challenge within promotional products decoration you're keeping an eye on?
DJ: Great question, but I only see opportunity. Decorating options are changing by the second and only getting better and better. I can’t wait to see the latest and greatest.
