The Future is Now: Powder Coating for Aluminum Sublimation Panels

What is powder coating, and why is it a superior coating system for aluminum panels? In this presentation, “Aluminum Sublimation Panels, A World of Finishes with Powder Coating,” led by Marcello Becchi, director of business development for Duraluxe (Booth 6904), attendees will learn the benefits of powder coating, both in terms of finishes and in mechanical terms.

“I’ll discuss the advantages of powder coating, how a panel is made with double coatings, and what we can look forward in the years ahead,” Becchi says.

Since the inception of dye sublimation panels, there have been only two finishes due to the limitation of liquid coating. Duraluxe has changed that by introducing the first high quality aluminum dye sublimation panel finished with powder coating technology, explains Becchi.

“Duraluxe, surfing on a wave of knowledge that goes back to 1995 (with its first Decoral patent for architectural dye sublimation), wants to change the very strong link between aluminum sublimation panels and liquid coating to show that there is more than just glossy or matte,” says Becchi.
