Architect is a purpose-built platform (subscription-based, cloud software) for the print and packaging industries. It is a radical Artificial Superintelligent workflow solution that enhances the customer experience with Esko’s premier product, Automation Engine as it builds analyzes, diagnoses, and auto-fixes workflow schemas.

The easy-to-use software interfaces with common AI prompts apparent in the leading large language models to compile and interpolate instructions for Esko’s Automation Engine, enabling users to interact with the platform. Similarly, as an Enfocus App creator, Significans has published over a dozen smart apps to boost the user’s valued experience with their workflow software investments.

The technology encapsulates Significans Automation’s established professional services expertise with a scalable software model that ‘clones’ the Significans team’s 400+ years of combined production‑floor experience, enabling users with AI-assisted workflow capabilities with only a few clicks. Characterized as having a proven, trusted, workflow specialist onsite 24/7, and built from the ground up by the company’s elite workflow specialists, Architect is designed for forward-thinking, automation-first companies.

Rather than relying on workflow automation development and training sessions, the company will offer a subscription-based Agentic platform that captures institutional knowledge, which reduces repetitive engineering efforts, shortens implementation and diagnostic cycles, and creates a self-directed and self-reliant opportunity for the user.

“Architect is poised to create a professional services paradigm shift within our industry,” says Significans President Marc Raad. “Like all of our solutions, Architect is 100% customer driven. It offers a skillset and at the same time a breakthrough tool to guide the user with an AI model. Businesses today simply cannot afford costly bottlenecks or issues of any kind within their automation workflow set-up, and in tandem service and manufacturing businesses cannot wait to get any delayed intervention from knowledgeable experts. This is a constant concern for many of our customers, and we were determined to do something about it – especially because we live in an on-demand, deadline-oriented era. Architect will re-define how workflow automation, especially in the print and packaging space, will be enhanced. It increases capacity, reduces operational risks and complexity, and speeds up ROI.”

How Architect works

Architect interfaces with the leading AI models (like Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to generate new workflows, analyze, diagnose, and help users iterate or correct workflow issues. The new technology works by converting an instructional prompt using any of the more common large language models so that it is interpreted in a way that Esko Automation Engine understands. The user can type the required instructions in AI, and the workflow will update itself without any manual editing in a matter of minutes. It is like having a proven, trusted, Significans Automation workflow architect available and under the user’s complete control through a user-friendly interface.

Building and implementing Automation Engine workflows has traditionally required years of hands-on, specialized experience, with knowledge usually locked inside the heads of a handful of skilled workflow engineers, and typically only accessible by hiring outside expertise. Architect changes all that as every workflow it generates is built in response to your own prompts. Users can see the logic behind each build as it happens, turning routine workflow tasks into an ongoing way to learn Automation Engine.

Sean Davis, Significans Automation VP of Technology, explains, “The long-term goal is to become the leading AI workflow intelligence layer for print and packaging operations, enabling customers to propel throughput, improve compliance, reduce waste, and make faster, more accurate production decisions.”
