Paradigm Imaging Group, the North American Distributor of Colortrac scanners, announces NEW FADGI Certification on Colortrac Wide-format scanners.

Colortrac is a world leader in large-format scanning and brings new solutions to the public sector and digitization projects. Colortrac SmartLF SGi and SmartLF SCi large format scanners now scan to FADGI 3-STAR certification when operating with the latest version of SmartWorks Imaging software. FADGI 3-STAR certification meets recognized standards for image quality set by the US Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative (FADGI) and sets common guidelines for the digitization of content such as books, manuscripts, maps, and photographic prints and negatives. Colortrac FADGI 3-STAR certified document scanners make it easy for organizations to scan and achieve the necessary image quality and standards required.

Common guidelines enhance the exchange of digital material among federal agencies and institutions and provide the public with a product of uniform quality. FADGI standards are of critical importance to service bureaus and other organizations that plan, manage, and approve digitization projects on behalf of federal agencies and these organizations must ensure captured images meet a minimum of FADGI 3-STAR quality.
