HP Large Format is excited to announce the launch of its newest innovations within its HP Latex print portfolio, which promise to deliver radical improvements in productivity for customers around the globe. These innovations include the introduction of the next generation of Latex ink with the new 10L ink accessory for the HP Latex 2700 printer, as well as upgrades to Live Production, Design & eCommerce, and Learn Premium, an industry suite of software solutions for small and mid-volume PSPs to expand into new online markets as well as manage their operations more effectively.
Building on the success of the Professional Print Service Plans (PPSPs) - which have seen an impressive increase of 25 pp attachment rate since launching in 2022, with over 4,000 printers with PPSPs activated - the software expansion means HP is offering a plan for Print Service Providers (PSPs) that can accelerate production efficiency on a daily basis, strengthen customer’s loyalty and pave the way for future business growth.
According to Daniel Martinez, Global Head and General Manager, HP Large Format, there are clear market trends which are driving the large format print market forward. “The industry is currently shaped by three main trends: the increasing demand for quicker turnaround times, the need for streamlined printing workflows, and a growing call for sustainable products. We are responding by developing and launching products and solutions that are not only stunning and streamlined but also sustainable. Our announcements at drupa, including the new high-capacity 10L ink accessory for the HP LF Latex 2700 printer, together with industry-first suite of software solutions Live Production, Design & eCommerce, and Learn Premium, cater specifically to these needs”.
HP Latex 2700 High-Capacity Ink Kit
Introducing the new high capacity 10L ink accessory specifically designed for the HP Latex 2700 printer, HP is expanding its capabilities within the high-volume print market. This modular and upgradeable solution opens up opportunities for higher volume PSPs by addressing high running costs to the next level, reducing costs whilst simultaneously increasing productivity. A key sustainability component of this innovation is its compatibility with the HP Latex 2700 model, which eliminates the need to discard or replace existing equipment, reducing waste. PSPs can now seamlessly transition to higher volume printing capabilities without compromising on sustainability and incurring unnecessary costs.
Streamlining Large Format Printing Businesses
Radically improving the efficiency and growth of PSPs, the expansion of HP’s Live Production software is a groundbreaking solution that empowers small to medium-sized PSPs to remotely manage their end-to-end workflow, from any PC or mobile device. Enabling unattended printing -for example, overnight-, this pioneering software allows users to control devices remotely, streamline production, and achieve greater efficiency. Developed on robust data analytics capabilities Live Production is set to redefine print management and deliver PSPs a significant competitive advantage.
The new functionalities for Live Production will be available globally, and to users who already have the software active in their Professional Print Service Plan. With the upgrades to Design & eCommerce software, HP Large Format is offering PSPs the opportunity to simplifying the end user demand, generating print ready PDF files that are optimized for most common LF applications, like canvas or wall covering. The new functionalities also expand the compatibility to a broader range of web sites and supporting on demand quotation sales process, enabling the PSPs to reach new online customers.
HP's Professional Print Service Plans play a vital role in providing PSPs with innovative solutions on support, software and training that streamline production workflows and radically improve their efficiency to unlock growth. The new functionalities on Live Production and Design & eCommerce are completed with an update of the learning platform HP Learn, now offering to the PSPs premium content including over 60 new training videos developed by industry experts, focusing on how to maximize HP LF Latex print technology, in applications like car wrapping, colour management, sustainability, etc.
According to Philippe Bouvier, CEO of Euromedia, "offering a best-in-class service to our customers is a competitive advantage and being able to provide new evolutive solutions on top through PrintOS fits perfectly in our company sales development strategy.”
Oscar Vidal, Global Director, Product and Strategy Large Format Print, HP said “we recognize that Print Service Providers face complex challenges, which is why we are continuing to evolve our Large Format portfolio into the future. We are listening to our customers and designing new products and solutions to fit those needs, such as the new high capacity 10L ink accessory for the HP Latex 2700 printer and the new functionalities for Live Production, Design & eCommerce and HP Learn”.
