Expo Bound: Helping Build and Benefit Business
Brian Hite, principal and co-founder of Image Options (Lake Forest, California), shares why he’s attending the 2025 PRINTING United Expo in Orlando (October 22-24).
Wide-format Impressions: Will you attend this year's PRINTING United Expo in Orlando?
Brian Hite: Yes, I will be attending the PRINTING United Expo in October.
WFI: Pretend this is an elevator pitch: Tell me a little bit about your company.
BH: Image Options was founded in May 1999 by myself and my partner, Tim Bennett. In the beginning, our primary markets were events, tradeshows, and retail graphics. Today, we are an organization of over 150 talented people supporting a diverse client base, designing and producing everything from corporate interiors, pop-ups, events, and tradeshow booths to retail store interiors and graphics.
WFI: What motivated you to attend the Expo this year?
BH: I attend the Expo for the simple fact that it is the premier event for anyone in the printing industry to attend and view new equipment, workflows, and products available for their businesses. The discussions with vendors and other attendees are invaluable resources to help with the decision-making process within my business.
WFI: Which products, brands, or services are you most looking forward to seeing at the Expo?
BH: I always view the key equipment suppliers to the wide format side of print first and then the substrate suppliers. Companies like Agfa, Durst, EFI, Epson, Mimaki, and others are all there and ready to discuss new products and applications. The diversity of exhibitors facilitates finding products from other industries that can adapt to ours, creating efficiencies and new market opportunities.
WFI: How do you plan to maximize your time at the Expo?
BH: Schedule meetings with exhibitors and attendees, and a lot of walking and listening.
WFI: How do you think attending the Expo will impact your business or career?
BH: The Expo has always had an impact on our business with what we see, experience, or learn at the show and the conversations post-event. The networking opportunities are the best of any event out there.
