This year, Summa is demonstrating its recently added F3220 wide-format flatbed cutter which is ideal for soft signage applications, as well as for processing soft to hardened board materials. With the free add-on feature F-performance, the performance of the flatbed machine increases up to 40%. Attendees also get the chance to see demonstrations on the L3214 laser cutter for wide-format textile applications — winner of the SGIA Product of the Year award 2019 in the Laser cutters category — which is able to increase productivity significantly by cutting up to 400 sqm/hr.

At the core of the enhanced productivity lies a top-notch camera recognition system. Instead of loading files, or waiting for the print design to be scanned in, the Summa L3214 system continuously scans the material and automatically creates the cut vector needed for the job. The system secures continuous cutting, even when the conveyor is moving, saving a considerable amount of valuable time.

Aside from wide-format, the F1612 with its 64"-wide flatbed is worth a visit. This truly versatile machine with a multi-functional head, holding up to three modules at once, fits the large variety of jobs that print shops receive. New is the conveyor extension for the F1612, which makes it easier to take off the cut materials while the machine is cutting the next part of the job. This media handling option helps users to work more efficiently and minimizes downtime.
